Miscellaneous Behind the Scenes & Event Pictures

Hey there! Yes this is my third post in two days. Shocking right? I’ve got oodles of stuff to update with and since I’m vacation right now, I’ll be making good use of my time and try to fix up the site a little bit. Blessed is the Match

Hey guys. Alona recently sent over some new information about her latest project. It’s a documentary called “Blessed is the Match: The Life and Death of Hannah Senesh” and Alona voices the title character Hannah. Here’s some more info about the film, courtesy of Katahdin Productions.

Narrated by three-time Academy Award nominee Joan Allen, Blessed Is the Match is the first documentary feature about Hannah Senesh, the World War II-era poet and diarist who became a paratrooper, resistance fighter and modern-day Joan of Arc. Safe in Palestine in 1944, Hannah joined a mission to rescue Hungary’s Jews. Shockingly, it was the only outside rescue mission for Jews during the Holocaust. Hannah parachuted behind enemy lines, was captured, tortured and ultimately executed by the Nazis. Incredibly, her mother Catherine witnessed the entire ordeal – first as a prisoner with Hannah and later as her advocate, braving the bombed-out streets of Budapest in a desperate attempt to save her daughter.

Happy Hanukkah & Icon Post

Thank you so much for all of your birthday wishes, and especially to Lily for the prettiful cupcake card! I had a fantabulous birthday full of really great food and of course presents.

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah so Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends! I hope your eight nights are full of gifts and time with family and friends. Don’t forget to pig out on latkes, maybe some matzoh ball soup and gelt!
